Welcome to the 17th Meath Longwood Scout Group website.
Our Group started in December 2006 with Leader Training and opened its Doors to the youth members in our Community in early 2007.
Since then we have grown in strength and now have over 100 members from all the surrounding villages.

Any Parent/Guardian/Adult that wishes to attend or take part in Any Activities with the 17th Meath Longwood Beavers,Cubs or Scouts must be Garda Vetted Beforehand.

Our Sections:
	Longwood Beavers Welcome to Beaver Scouts. Beaver Scouts are the youngest section. They range from 6 to 8 years of age. It's where we start the adventure and the emphasis is maximum fun. Don't let our cute factor fool you as we can be as adventurous and daring as any other Scouts. While we are having fun we still get to play with others so that we know how to get along with other people. Beaver Scouts are organised in small groups called Lo.....

	Longwood Cubs Welcome to Longwood Cub Scouts! Ages 9,10 &11. Thursday Evening from 6.45pm-7.55pm. Cub Scouts range from 9 to 11 years of age. The Cub Scout adventure is full of fun and exploration. We are all about finding out about new things and new ways of having fun. We learn to become more responsible because we want to do more things like go on longer camps and lead activities. 	Longwood Scouts What is Scouts? ages 12,13,14 & 15 Scouting started out of the Scout section so it stands to reason that we have some serious fun in Scouts. The Spirit of Adventure is what drives the Scout Section to challenge you to try new things encourage Scouts to try to be more responsible, try more things as a team and even more leadership. 	Longwood Ventures Venture Scouting is for young people between the ages of 15,16 & 17. Venture Scouts range from 15 to 17 years of age. The programme involves a wide variety of exciting and adventurous activities, where the Venture Scouts themselves are responsible for designing, planning and implementing their activities.
