Welcome to the brand new Greenhills Scout group website!Safety FirstSafety first, online and off, we ask that all youth members don't give out phone numbers, e-mail addresses or instant messenger names. Also, don't use peoples surnames, even your own! In your ''edit profile'' change your surname to your initial, and set your profile to private - this means no-one who isn't Scouttalk approved can view your page. And try to stay clear of close-up profile pics. See here (■ link»click!) for Scouttalk's safety features.
And lastly, we will treat cyber-bullying as severely as any type of bullying. You have been warned!
The Troop 65th Greenhills were founded in 1972 and recognised in '73. Our Den (the JPII Memorial Hall) was opened in 1980, after being built by prisoners from Mountjoy. Currently we have about 100 members.
Beaver Section 23 Beavers led by SL Paula, Ann, Trish, Ronan & Liam.
Cub Section 28 Cubs led by SL Mary, Brian, Aisling, Aoife & Stephen.
Scout Section 34 Scouts led by SL Ciara, Millsie, Monkey, Paula, Niamh, Lauren, Bernard, Federico El Diablo & Dave (though sometimes we have to loan some of them out to the other sections!)
Venture Section 9 Ventures led by themselves! With SL Campo, Yog & Karen around to help out. (To the max!)
The Leaders All of the above plus our Group Leader Sondra, Treasurer Deirdre, Secretary Eileen, and Den Manager (i.e. does everything else!) Darragh. Without our great leaders, there wouldn't be a 65th Greenhills!!
