Hello and welcome to 8th Wicklow Blessington Scout Troop.
We formed the troop in the February 2007, and we have grown from strength to strength each year since with now having 120 children and 21 leaders over our Beaver,Cubs, and Scouts.
We currently hold our meeting in St Joseph's Hall as we currently don't have our own Den but the goal of the troop is to have one of our own in the future.

 

 

Our Sections:

Blessington Beavers Blessington Beavers Blessington Beaver was started in the February of 2007 and has grown from strength to strength. We meet every Wednesday evening in the GP Room of St Mary's National School as we currently don't have our own den at present but the goal of the troop is to have one in the future. The meeting is from 6.30 to 7.30 and our beavers learn through play and art and crafts, which the Beaver group leader Garry O Connor is very proud of along with t.....

Blessington Cubs Blessington Cubs We currently have 45 Cubs in our section and 10 Leaders. We currently have a waiting list in all sections of our troop. We are work for the change over to the one program which leaders and Cubs are all looking forward to, we meet every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 7.45pm. We do plenty of hiking,camping, badge work and above all lots of fun. Our Cub leader is Declan Hendrick. This Tuesday we all went to Blessington Lake kayaking under the super.....

Blessington Scouts Blessington Scouts Hi and welcome to 8th Wicklow Blessington Scouts we meet on a Tuesday evening as well after the cubs finish in St Joseph's Hall from 8.00pm to 9.30pm. We do lots of fun activities through the year eg. camping,hill walking, county shields help the cub and beaver troops if they need us. Scouts is open to lads and lassies between the ages of 11 to 16 years interested in doing some different with there time. Our scout leader is Malcolm Beresford.....
