Scouting Ireland wins an EnviroCom award
At the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber Envirocom Awards Night Scouting Ireland received a prestigious award for its work with the Environment. Scouting Ireland received this award for its promoting of “Leave No Trace” principles through its activities in Campsites like Larch Hill and within the programme of Scout Groups in the County.
'Kiernan Gildea, Chief Commissioner (Youth Programme) has decided to award the upper portion of the 2009 'Promise & Law' badge to any members of the Association who ACTIVELY assists in Snow & Winter Relief Work....
Due to adverse weather conditions, Scouting Irelands National Office had to close temporarily.
